Blue Cheese is made accidentally when a young shepherd forgot his meal (bread & normal goat cheese)in a cave.On his return he noticed that some blue color mold is spread on the cheese,when he just taste a small bite and he like the unique taste of Blue Cheese.after some years scientist research and said that there is species of Penicillium is called Penicillium Roqueforti and it is blue in color and filamentous in structure..
What is blue cheese? 
Blue Cheese is a type of a cheese with fungus called penicillium roqueforti add to for its veins and blue patches.Blue cheese is believed to have been discovered by accident when cheese where stored in natural caves which contain some moisture contains and it contain 14-15 degree celcious temperature, this favorite temperature for harmless molds. Gorgonzola is one of the oldest known cheese having been created around 879 AD,through it is said that it did not actually contain blue veined until around the 11th century.
